xX A Promise Completed Xx

Just walked through the door after spending the day completing the promise i made to you. We have spent the most lovely day sat in your lounge with Grandad, Auntie Caroline, Uncle David and Jessie the cat..We have belly laughed, we have had music and dancing - Chloe has showed Grandad a few extra funky moves!! We have had a "Metcalf Makeover" - courtesy of Grandad, Uncle David, Auntie Caz - some bling, blusher/mascara and some gorgeous red lipstick and with the help and application by Ry and Coco!! We have had a lovely party tea which was slaved over with a strenuous and "flu-driven" trip to Morrisons by Grandad and made lovingly by Auntie Caz..We have had a plentiful supply of cups of tea made by Uncle David - I was even honoured to drink out of your special Mum mug and THE (!!) Bradford City mug which was also supplied with a nice piece of choccy smartie cake (happy days :).. We have played games and looked through all of your lovely holiday and wedding photos. I also heard Grandad play his guitar and both Coco, Ry and Mummy thinks he is now the Bestest Guitar Player in the World Ever!!

I cant help but think you have such a lovely family - one that with your help always seem to face things with a smile and show lots of support, time, laughter and love - just like you used to do and probably still do where ever you are sat now looking over us all. Today we have had lots of fun, a perfect end to a perfect week of fun and relaxation - and to top it off your little grandson fulfilled his wish to return back to Bradford and spend time with his family.
A lovely Day in Bradford and i spent every second feeling you were with us willing us on to enjoy every moment.. Thank you Grandma it meant an awful lot to all of us.

Your Grandson Ryan xx

Just sat and chatted to your lovely daughter Janet, you see i had a question out of the blue from Ryan..a question i waited a long time for.
After his first day at his new school he had a sit down talk about where he came from and he sat there being a very brave boy.
Caroline told me that she was very sure that it was you trying to mend broken ties and open the door to a new episode..and i like that. I can imagine you being there doing that wanting the best for Ryan but also a better future with all of his family.
I was very proud of Ryan and the strength he showed when we told him..and im sure part of that came from you and John. I know that because Caroline has the very same inner quality.
I will arrange a day for a "Metcalf Moment" sat in your lounge..time letting Ry hear about all the things his grandma and grandad have done in their life together..For Ry to ask questions on what kind of person you were..we shall smile and laugh..hey me and Ry may even get grandad and auntie caz up for a boogie to one of your favourite tunes..oh yes lol.
Thankyou for your time and help...I hope with everyones help we can make that future you wanted..and give Ry the chance to look after his grandad for you xx

Lots of Love,

Sallyann, Ryan and family xxxxx

MOTHER

Mother is the one who loves and cares,
Mother’s hands is the one that bears,
Mother’s hands are the one that protects.

Mother’s hands is the one that rocks,
Mother’s hands is the one that gives and not takes,
Mother’s hands is not smooth,
As her hands is the one that bakes.

Mother’s hands is like that of an angel,
Mother’s hands is the one that grew, us this far,
Mother’s hands is the most blessed one,
Mother’s hands is the one that prays,
Mother’s hands is the one that’s most dear

Mother’s hands is the one that is patient,
Mother’s hands is the one that is warm,
Mother’s hands is the most compassionate,
Mother’s hands is the one most sincere,
Mother to me is ABOVE ALL.

With lots & lots of love

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES OF A SPECIAL MUM

It dosen't seem quiet possible to celebrate today without
the mum i loved so much and think of every day
They say time is a healer,
things get easier to bear,
but Christmas Day will never be the same now your not there,
For Christmas is a sepcial time
to share with those we love and yet,
i know your watching Mum and smiling from above
For though you're sadly gone
i think i heard an angel say
"Dont worry, you are not alone
she's with you every day"

My Dearest Mum

Mother you were the nicest, you were always there for me
You sung me nursery rhymes as you bounced me on your knee
You did everything that you could for me then left me on my own
The angels wanted you with them so they came and took you home
No one could ask more from their mum than what you did for me
Every day you gave me time, our closeness all could see
You cuddled and cherished me as a mother always does
Supported me in everything and often gave me a shove
You wiped my tears when I cried and laughed at all my ways
I reminded you of you when you were in your youthful days
I know I tried you with my moments as every child does
When life can get too much to bear in all the tear and rush
But you were there for me whenever I needed you
Sadly I never told you just how much I loved you too
And now it is too late, for your arms I can no longer feel
I should have told you when I could that my love for you was real

xx A Life Not Lost xx

I've walked through life and seen so many things, made some special memories and met some strong and sweet people..Janet I have to say when times got tough and i needed someone there for me, your door was always open and your time and strength was always free..I took that with me on my journey. You are often in my thoughts and the world has lost a special person. Thank you for the smiles, the memories i have of watching you dance in your living room to your favourite tunes which made me giggle and for being a special inner part that helps make my little boy's eyes sparkle and for the fight he has to hold his own as he grows up. Rest in peace Janet and look after John Caroline James and David for me. Love Sallyann Paul Ryan and Chloe xxxx
